"The first weekend of the RSC's 2014 free open-air theatre project, The Dell, has set high standards; Staffordshire University's adaptation of 'The Winter's Tale' is a highly polished production with many fine performances. This ambitious endeavour is complimented by elegant design and elaborate costumes, seen against a background of trees, with the church beyond and the River Avon gliding past, this proved a fine way to spend a warm summer afternoon."
